Lipowise Privacy Policy

Lipowise (the “app”) keeps a record of conservative therapy — compression and movement, pain scores, weight, circumference measurements and photographs. That is health information about your body, and some of it is among the most sensitive data a person can hold. This policy explains exactly what happens to it.

What we collect

Nothing. Lipowise has no account, no login, no server and no backend. We do not receive, transmit, store or have any means of accessing your entries. No analytics, advertising, tracking or crash-reporting SDK is included in the app. The developer cannot see your data, because the data never travels anywhere.

Where your record is stored

Everything you enter is written to a private file inside the app’s own container on your iPhone, protected by iOS file protection (it is unreadable while the device is locked). It stays there until you delete it or delete the app.

Photographs

Photos you add are stored inside the app’s own storage, not in your photo library. This is deliberate: writing them to the library would sync them to iCloud Photos and expose them to every other app that has photo access. Lipowise reads a photo once when you pick it, saves its own protected copy, and never writes to your library.

The app asks for photo-library access only at the moment you choose to add a photo. If you decline, every other part of the app continues to work.

The exported PDF

When you export your file, the PDF is created on your device and handed to the iOS share sheet. What happens next is entirely your choice — you decide whether it goes to a doctor, an insurer, AirDrop, or nowhere. Lipowise does not upload it and has no copy of it.

iCloud and backups

If you have iOS device backup enabled, your app data may be included in your own encrypted Apple backup, under your Apple Account. That is a relationship between you and Apple; the developer has no access to it.

Purchases

Lipowise Pro is processed entirely by the Apple App Store. Lipowise never sees your payment information, name or address. The app only learns whether an entitlement is active on the device.

Children

Lipowise is not directed at children and does not knowingly hold data from anyone under 16.

Your rights

Because no personal data is collected or processed by us, there is no account to access, correct, export or erase on our side. You already hold the only copy: the export function gives you your full record as a PDF at any time, and deleting the app removes everything permanently. If you are in the EU or UK, the GDPR rights of access, rectification, erasure and portability are satisfied by that design — there is no controller-held copy for them to apply to.

Not a medical device

Lipowise records and formats what you enter. It provides no diagnosis, no assessment, no treatment advice, and it cannot say whether any payer will approve anything. Your doctor decides the therapy; your insurer decides the claim.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, the updated date above changes with it. Because the app holds no contact details, we cannot notify you directly — the current version is always at this URL.
