Girder Terms of Use

These terms cover your use of the Girder iOS app. By using the app you accept them.
What Girder is — and is not
Girder helps you price a job and record what it actually cost. It is a calculator and a record, not professional advice. The numbers it produces are only as good as the figures you enter and the assumptions you accept. You are responsible for every price you quote and every commitment you make to a customer.
Weights are calculated from section dimensions rather than looked up in a mill table. Hollow sections are computed with sharp corners and run roughly 2% heavy; angles include a root-fillet correction and land within about 0.3% of published tables. These are estimates for quoting, not engineering values. Do not use Girder for structural design, load calculation, or code compliance.
License
You get a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use Girder on devices you own or control. You may not resell, redistribute, reverse-engineer, or attempt to extract the source of the app.
Subscriptions
Girder Pro is an auto-renewing subscription offered monthly or yearly.
- Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase.
- The subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends, at the rate shown at purchase.
- Where a free trial is offered, any unused part of it is forfeited if you buy a subscription during the trial.
- Manage or cancel in Settings → your Apple Account → Subscriptions. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
Refunds are handled by Apple under the App Store terms; we cannot issue them directly.
Your content
Your quotes, jobs, prices and customer details are yours. They stay on your device and, where iCloud is switched on, in your own private iCloud database (see the Privacy Policy). You are responsible for keeping your own backups and for the accuracy and lawfulness of what you enter.
Disclaimer and limitation of liability
Girder is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. We do not warrant that calculations are free from error or fit for any particular job. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for lost profit, underquoted work, purchasing mistakes, business interruption, or any indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the app. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the twelve months before the claim.
Changes
These terms may be updated; the current version always lives at this address with its date. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
