ZuzuKids Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 10, 2026

ZuzuKids is a preschool learning app for children aged roughly 3 to 7. Because it is used by children, it is built so that there is nothing to leak: the app has no account, contacts no server of ours, and sends nothing anywhere.

What we collect

Nothing. ZuzuKids does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data. There is no sign-up, no login, and no server of ours for the app to talk to. We use no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking SDKs of any kind — there is not a single third-party SDK in the app.

We therefore have no profile of your child, no usage history, and no way to identify anyone who uses the app. This is not a promise to handle data carefully; it is the absence of the data.

What stays on the device

Everything the app remembers is written on the device itself:

A first name and a birth year are the only things resembling personal information the app asks for, and they exist so that two children sharing an iPad see their own progress rather than each other’s. Neither ever leaves the device.

iCloud

If the family is signed in to iCloud, profiles and progress are kept in your own private iCloud key-value store, so a child who moves from the phone to the iPad carries on where they left off. That copy is held by Apple under your Apple Account and governed by Apple’s privacy policy. We cannot see it and neither can anyone else. Turn iCloud off for ZuzuKids in your device settings and everything stays on the one device.

The internet

The app ships with all 840 of its lessons inside it and works fully offline. It does not contact any server we run. The only network activity that can occur is between your device and Apple, when a subscription is bought or restored.

Subscriptions

The subscription is processed entirely by the Apple App Store. ZuzuKids never sees or stores your payment details. We receive no information about you from Apple beyond whether this device holds an active subscription, and even that is read on the device rather than reported to us.

Permissions

ZuzuKids asks for two things, both optional, both only when you choose them:

The app never asks for the microphone, the camera, contacts, photos or location, because it never needs them.

Advertising

There is none. No banners, no interstitials, no “watch a video to unlock”, no cross-promotion of other apps, and no links out to the web from anywhere a child can reach.

Children’s privacy

ZuzuKids is intended for young children and is designed to comply with children’s privacy rules including COPPA and the GDPR provisions on children. It collects no personal information from children, displays no advertising, contains no social features, and offers no way for a child to communicate with anyone. Purchases and every external link sit behind a parent gate that requires a PIN a parent chooses.

Deleting the data

Deleting the app removes everything held on the device. If iCloud was switched on, your copy remains in your own iCloud until you delete it there — Settings › your name › iCloud › Manage Account Storage. There is nothing on our side to delete, because there was never anything there.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new date. Since the app collects nothing, any change is likely to be a clarification rather than a new practice.
